Laser & Plasma Processing
With Longhorn’s new Mazak HTX 510 4000 Watt Laser with FMS system, our ability to offer customers the most advanced services in sheet and laser processing goes unparalleled.
We possess the capability to change the material thickness, adjust the material type and alter consumables such as: the type of gas, nozzle and lenses used in a completely automated process. For example, the laser can be programmed to schedule unsupervised processing of: 3 sheets of 1/2” stainless 304, 5 sheets of 1/8” aluminum 5052, 12 sheets of 12 ga CRS, 2 sheets 10 ga GAV, and 7 sheets of ¼” A36 Plate.
Longhorn operates an Amada LC2415 2000 Watt Laser which is utilized to cut first article parts as well as structural materials (i.e. square tubes, channels and angles). This gives us the ability to process unscheduled or rush jobs without interfering with the production schedule of our Mazak laser.
Longhorn’s Komatsu 120 amp High Definition Plasma, give us the capability to cut thicker materials and larger sheet sizes.
By ensuring the most up-to-date technology is in our facility, we are able to increase our productivity level and get our customers’ products to them in a timely manner while not compromising the quality we are known for.
